If you’re planning to visit Greece and aren’t sure which place to choose, I would definitely recommend Thessaloniki. It’s the second largest city in Greece, located in the region of Macedonia.
You can combine your trip to Thessaloniki with a day excursion to Edessa, where you can see the beautiful waterfalls. Also you can visit the Pozar thermal baths to enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot springs, and even go hiking.
Another destination I highly recommend is the stunning Blue Lagoon of Skra in Kilkis.
If you visit Thessaloniki during the summer, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore Halkidiki. Some of my favorite beaches there are Kavourotrypes and Karidi Beach.
